And I don't know if there exists a rsync server on Windows Server 2016. You may need to enable ftp server on Microsoft Corporation Windows Server 2016 first. Might work also with a more recent version of app and QTS but didn't test. One option you might have is using the ftp server of Windows Server operating system, see following link to QNAP user manual, with its Backup Station service resp. Some users reported problems with the USB disk recognition on 4.4.2.
